@ColesStreetPothole @BashStKid I do kinda understand the Red Bank thing. Chasing Amy is a bin fire in *soooo* many ways but there's the racist/misogynist stuff he's said IRL and generally unapologetically sticking to dated 90s ways of relating to stuff. I give him a pass for Dogma because there's v. little of the bigotry and Alan Rickman.

@BashStKid @fkamiah17 I originally watched this movie in 2000, after helping my mom move from Wisconsin to Nova Scotia. It was a shitty, stressful trip, and we were arguing, in a foul mood. We decided to rent a DVD just so we wouldn't have to talk to each other, and we chose DOGMA. We each slowly went from being silent and moody to weeping with laughter. Good times.

@ColesStreetPothole @BashStKid The last house I lived in in London we had a movie test to judge how "cool" new people were. If they adored Totoro, could make it to the end of Requiem For A Dream, and pissed themselves laughing at Dogma, they were alright.
