Welp, I've got my Saturday off to a fabulous start by twisting my ankle taking out the recycling
@sodslawyer It's not too bad, but it did mean I missed my walk and Park Run
How's things in Strood?
@fkamiah17 Oh I'm up the road from Strood (starts with G, ends with end). It's bright and sunny here but I don't have any definite plans. I want to get back on the bike soon following some problems with my hip, but I'm knackered (I was in bed by 9pm a couple of nights ago and got 10 hours) so it won't be today.
@sodslawyer NFW that's where I grew up!
Sorry about the hip
Best not to push it, it'll only end up being counterproductive. A quiet day soaking up some rays seems like a good plan
@fkamiah17 Yeah any jaunts on the bike will be gentle/exploratory. I've been doing stretching exercises regularly for 2-3 months (having seen a physio) and that's made a difference: I walk several miles more days than not, and so I'm encouraged.
But a lazy day, if it turns out to be that, will be guilt free :)
FYI I moved here 8 years ago, to be with my then-gf.
@fkamiah17 Sending well-wishes to you regarding your ankle, too - hopefully nothing that a bit of rest won't sort out.
@sodslawyer It'll be fine - a few hours' rest and a gentle pootle in the garden and I'll be fine. I just don't like missing my morning walk (and the Park Run today), especially when it's such a beautiful day. I even remembered to put my camera in my bag for the first time ever
Take it gently buddy
