hello!
it is a day!
a day that has thus far involved:
- going to the city to collect my residency card with my NEW NAME on it
(and hopefully not getting covid from all the people leaving lung on the floor )
- buying bamboo shoots for neighbour and getting vaguely shouted at by a man with a *very* impressive beard
- tiny gf liquorices!
- the car having a problem, us stopping at a garage and booking it in for tomorrow: hopefully it's not major?
- paying the neighbour his ransom of bamboo shoots and eggs and collecting our veg box from him and there's citrus in it which means more tart maybe tomorrow!
i just ate breakfast at half past 3 in the afternoon, and now it's time to burn stuff! i haven't slept, can you tell?
how are all of you today?
@moonrabbit Blimey, what an epic day!
Lemon tart is go (soon)
Today has mostly been walking and gardening and taking slightly less rubbish than usual pictures of birds
Set the right things on fire
@fkamiah17 poor husband is shattered, so i won't mention the tart till tomorrow, i don't think
i'm buzzing atm from all the busy and french and car stress , but i am expecting to plummet soon
hooray for lovely outside things! it's been a smidge chilly and very windy here ... warmer now but still blowing like anything. hopefully it'll settle down by the w/e (and we'll have enough energy) for gardening.
so when you say to set the right things on fire ...
@moonrabbit Awww, poor Olly
I think he's earned a night off from baking
Try not to plummet while surrounded by flames (I'm not reaching for a metaphor here either)
I've planted the Egyptian walking onions! It was warm enough to walk without a hoodie at 6am. Fingers crossed for less wind for you tomorrow ... erm ... yes
G'luck
@fkamiah17 indeed he has! but i shall be cracking the tart whip tomorrow. no wait, that doesn't sound right ...
hooray for walking onions! i hope they do well; ours have established themselves FAR better than i expected
you can eat the tops as well, as long as you don't take too much, so you'll have spring onions forever too.
oh blimey that is warm! or you're just well 'ard.
thank you! i shall commence shortly and then remember to set the timer to remind me to do the fire things at the fire time. i *will* remember to set the timer ...
are you done for the afternoon?
Grrrr ... my touchpad is having some kind of fit
@moonrabbit Listen, I'm the very last person to judge what you do with tarts and whips
I've confined them to a raised bed, so they won't be walking very far
Yes, there's no more garden activity for today. There'll be raking of beds and planting of seeds tomorrow
Set the timer set the timer!!
@fkamiah17 your second sentence taken in conjunction with your first
rest time for you then, hooray!
yes! timer timer timer timer first i need to actually put the kiln on but then timer timer timer timer
