Rage Rumbles 🏴‍☠️🫂🔞

Was just out for a walk. Spontaneously gave Nazi salutes to four passing Teslas and was unfortunate enough to be stopped and questioned by two similarly passing officers of the law. They asked what I was doing and I said "nazi-saluting Teslas". After some questioning, during which it was clear I had broken no law, they told me to be on my way and said that if they saw me doing it again I'd be arrested as a public nuisance.

Yeah right.

@Black_Flag You encountered a total of six Nazis that day

@Black_Flag

Ah yes, free speech - a perk of being wealthy.

Sigh.

I hate this timeline.

@shelldozer @Black_Flag Yes. Tell the police you're throwing your heart out to them, to express your love for them.

@Black_Flag I love that Mark Kelly is dumping his Tesla because he doesn’t want to be “driving a car designed and built by an asshole”. Good on you, Senator.

@SherBeareth Ironically, the asshole concerned neither designed nor built it. He just profits from it.

@Black_Flag I was surprised to hear the senator give the muskrat so much credit. Though it made for a punchy quote.

But I can only hope it’s indicative of a larger national Tesla sell-off movement. Elon has very thin skin and highly prominent pride.

How Musk thought making love to MAGA and its values could aid him in selling pricey and problematic electric vehicles I’ll never know. It’s a sorry ass conundrum.

@Black_Flag What country did this happen in? In the US, you have a 1A right to throw Nazi salutes, no matter who hates it or why. (There are some VERY narrow exceptions, which your story doesn't come anywhere near.) Police in the US may not interfere with that right, nor threaten you for exercising it.

/cont-2

@Black_Flag 2/ 'Public nuisance' is a common-law criminal doctrine which requires the offender to interfere with other people's rights. But no one has a right to not be offended. Tesla owners have no right to not have Nazi salutes thrown at them while driving around.

@Black_Flag I love these catch-all things. You'd be arrested as a public nuisance for doing things that aren't against the law.
